About me

Hi! I'm Om and I'm studying Computer Science, Business and Math at the University of Michigan.

I'm currently learning about 3D generative AI, graphics and machine learning, and their applications to robotics, medical imaging, and scientific problems. I'm also learning more about probability and combinatorics, and linear algebra.

On campus, I'm a part of V1 Michigan, a community of student builders, and Michigan Blockchain, a community of students interested in blockchain technology.

At Michigan Blockchain, I collaborated with my peers in Michigan Blockchain to utilize smart contracts in paying deposits, enabling students to pay a single deposit to enter the queues for multiple apartment and housing opportunities on a single platform.

At V1, I identified common issues with trust between barbers and their customers. I began developing a 3D generative modeling tool that customers can use to provide an exact representation of their desired hairstyles.

Outside of school, I run Academate, a college consulting service that helps students with their college applications. I also love playing basketball, tennis and spikeball!

Feel free to reach out to me at omjoshi@umich.edu!
